Gluten, wheat and yeast free baking

Thanks to the likes of the BBC’s British Bakeoff, the nation has fallen in love with baking again. You can’t beat the aroma of freshly baked bread and now people with a gluten or wheat-free diet can enjoy baking delicious gluten and wheat-free homemade bread and scones – with the taste and texture of regular bread and scones. 16-04-2012

Helen’s Brilliant Bakery Mixes are a new range of easy to use, gluten and wheat-free bread and scone mixes based on natural ingredients with no synthetic stabilizers. Instead of wheat flour, the mixes contain rice flour as well as other gluten free flours, and are a source of fibre.

You don’t need a bread maker or to be an experienced baker, the mixes are designed to make baking simple so that everyone can enjoy the benefits. All you need to do to make your own gluten, wheat and yeast-free bread and scones is add egg, milk and oil - and to make the white bread you just add water and oil. The mixes are ready to bake in just two minutes.

Devised by Helen O’Dowd, a mum, nutritionist and food scientist, the range is aimed at people who avoid wheat or gluten for health reasons, but who don’t want to miss out on the joy of freshly baked bread.
