The Hospital Group, the UK’s leading weight loss and cosmetic surgery Group, is working with TV’s Anne Diamond to educate thousands on weight loss surgery through the sponsorship of her nationwide tour of inspirational talks to help fight the problems of obesity. Anne Diamond is the perfect figurehead to spearhead this educational campaign to educate and inform people of their choices – and to warn them against the potential hazards of health tourism abroad.” Weight loss surgery was brought to the public’s attention early this year after it was revealed that the TV star had been fitted with a “gastric band” before appearing on ITV1’s Fit Club. “An Audience with Anne Diamond”, will allow the TV star to tell her own story in the hope of helping people to overcome their own weight problems and learn from her personal ‘journey’, particularly about the perils of medical tourism. The “gastric band” is a highly effective and, comparatively safe procedure to tackle obesity.
